Happy Easter

Easter Sunday was such a blessed day around here. We got to spend time with both sides of the family and celebrate the most joyous and undeserved event in history.

Lo and CG with their younger cousin. Yup. He is eleven months old and bigger than them. {And,is it just me, or does he look more like Logan than Charleigh does?!?}Sweetest, happiest little guy.
So I really had bought the girls new Easter dresses.  The 18 month size looked too big so I got 12 month dresses. They were HUGE. They went down to their ankles and the armholes were as big as their waists. So they wore these little 9 month numbers that I got at the consignment sale last year. Which they also wore to their baby dedication on Mother's Day. Getting our money's worth.
Their big cousin Caleb cracks them up. They are infatuated.
Easter baskets this year went over way better than last year. {It helps that they have control of their appendages now.} The contents of which were almost entirely from the Dollar Spot at Target.
Their grandma got them each a Lambie which have since usurped monkey as the favorite for sleeping, eating, strolling, riding, and playing.
My mom always put bathing suits in our Easter baskets every year. {Although they were essentially unusable for a few months in the frigid north.} But you need a new one every year when you're a growing kid anyway so I think this is genius.
I wasn't going to do an egg hunt or anything but then my sister-in-law had a little hunt for the kids on Friday and these girls thought it was the greatest thing since all the Christmas boxes. {And, apparently, they wore these dresses on Christmas Eve, too. Woops. I just love them.}
We Skyped Uncle Dustin. We love him. {And check out that slide from Grammy. They are so spoiled.}
Don't mind the Valentine's Day wreath. It works for Easter, too. And don't mind the duck eating child.

Thankful for a day filled with Jesus and family. I can't wait for the Easter where the girls understand the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ. Until then, we'll soak up the sheer joy that comes from finding a cracker in a colorful, plastic egg. Hope your Easter was just splendid!
