'A portrait of our girls once a week, every week, in 2014.'
Logan: Pure joy. Bubbles and sunshine. Pull her hair back and she looks like she's five. She doesn't smile as freely as her sister but when she does it's from deep in her heart.
Charleigh: Our little mama. For how non-stop and all-over-the-place this child can be, she calms right down when it's time to feed her babies. Such a little nurturer. Even if she feeds them ice cream for breakfast. Every day.
Drew: 11 weeks old. Finding her fingers. Finding her voice. Stealing our hearts.

snow day 2014
In honor of the 60 and 70 degree weather last weekend, I thought it would be a good time to share our snow day pictures. Obviously. And now it's back in the thirties. So there's that.
I wrote last year during our one snowfall about the phenomenon that is a snow storm in the south. This year we were way more prepared in the snow gear department thanks to $15 coats and $3 mittens on Zulily. We still didn't have boots or snow pants though and we perfected the no-snow-boots-snow-boots. Socks, Saran wrap, fleece socks, Saran wrap, tape at the ankles, crocs. (Thank goodness I grabbed those at the consignment sale the week before.) Sure, it was a 20 minute process. But worth every second.
It was so fun to see the girls actually enjoy the snow this year. We went out a few times and had to drag them back in every time. We built a snowman, made some snow angels, ate some snowman noses because why would you not, wandered in and out of neighbors' yards, and wandered across the street and around the house. And walked and wandered and wandered some more. For all the snow activities we did, this was by far their favorite. Snow...a brave new world, the final frontier.
Until next year, snow. We heart you.

'A portrait of my girls once a week, every week, in 2014.'
Charleigh Grace: Our little snow bunny. Her dad had to drag her in before her toes turned blue and she trekked across the neighbor's yard again. Because for some reason snow means no boundaries to a two-year-old. Wide open spaces.
Lolly: Our thumb-sucker. Our sleeper. This child wakes up with the best bed head. Whether she's been asleep for hours or just fifteen minutes, it's pretty fantastic.
Drew-bee: Pure joy. All smiles. I turned around and she was two months old. Ready to charm the world.

thursday things
1. A couple weeks ago, I was afraid sick little Logan missed out on any bit of real winter we'd see this year. But, no, we got a real, honest-to-goodness snowstorm that lasted almost a full two days. None of that half-an-inch-that melts-in-an-hour nonsense. We took about a bazillion pictures. So get ready for that goodness.
3. We've been working on our Christmas thank you's around here. Yes. I realize that we're really late on this but I'm a firm believer in written thank you's. And it takes a long time to get these girls to color or paint anything. They're either way too particular or very easily distracted. This doesn't bode well for speedy production. My sister designed these little thank you's. Too cute, yeah?
5. The outfits around here just keep getting better and better.
6. And a picture of Logan because I included a picture of Charleigh. And I just love her concentration. Doll tucked under one arm, train in the other.
7. And one of Drew-bee because I'm an equal opportunity photo sharer.
Happy snow day to all you southerners out there and warm wishes to all you northerners who can't believe we're this excited about it!
